A Prenuptial Agreement is an Agreement entered into between two parties in contemplation of marriage. It can address such topics as the protection of existing assets, protection against or in favor of spousal support, alimony pendente lite (APL), and alimony, protection of business interests, and also, how to otherwise define your marital estate and the division of your marital estate.
A Postnuptial Agreement is an Agreement entered into between two parties after marriage. Similar to Prenuptial Agreements, it can address such topics as assets, debts, spousal support, APL, alimony, business interests, and the overall division of the marital estate.
