Mediation is a form of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) wherein a third party, the mediator, assists individuals with negotiating their own agreement. The mediator does not act as an attorney, but instead works to facilitate decisions rather than make them. The role of the mediator includes, but is not limited to, assisting individuals in identifying issues, fostering joint problem solving, and exploring settlement alternatives. The goal of family mediation is for the parties to reach an agreement which will be confirmed in a signed written agreement. The process is confidential and private. Financial information and personal issues remain confidential.
We can assist you with resolving various family law disputes through mediation including but not limited to: separation, child custody, support (child/spousal), alimony pendente lite (APL), alimony, division of marital estate (assets and debts), and any other family law and/or divorce-related issues.
